Box Score RESULTS ST. PAUL—The Bethel University volleyball team made a statement Saturday night, as the Royals (19-8, 7-2 MIAC) swept St. Thomas in St. Paul 3-0. The Royals, who hit .333 as a team, defeated the Tommies (8-16, 3-6 MIAC) by final game scores of 25-12, 25-20, and 25-22.

BU's victory over UST snapped an 11-match losing streak, as the Royals hadn't defeated St. Thomas since 2006. Moreover, Bethel hadn't won in St. Paul since 2001, which broke a 13-year drought.

Bethel's win included a 15-5 run to close the opening set and a 10-2 start in the second frame. BU amassed 61 points throughout the match on 45 kills, seven aces, and nine blocks. Meanwhile, St. Thomas was held to 45 points and a .181 attacking percentage.

Tegan LaBerge had a team-high 11 kills and four block assists, along with an attacking percentage of .435.
Kristin Stern and
Carlee Hoppe each added 10 kills, with Stern hitting .562 and Hoppe posting an attacking mark of .346. Stern also finished with five block assists.

Kali Johnson added 12 and
Tina Hoppe 10.
Katie Lubben accumulated a game-high 23 assists and seven digs, while
Mikayla Morrow added 13.

Grace Duffey led St. Thomas with 11 kills and a .375 attacking percentage, while Rebecca Hawkins posted 21 assists.

The Royals, who have won six straight against MIAC opponents, will finish the regular season next week when they host both Macalester and Augsburg at home. Wednesday's match versus the Scots is scheduled for 7 p.m., while Saturday's match versus the Auggies is set for 6 p.m.
