NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Bethel University men's hockey team fell 2-1 on the road to St. Olaf College Friday night. Despite a combined total of 76 shots, the two teams were only able to score a total of three goals. Bethel's
Matt Rowe made a career high 43 saves in the loss.
St. Olaf struck first at 6:42 in the second period to take the 1-0 lead. The Royals were able to tie the game up as
Mitch Hughes scored on a power play with assists to
Ty Walls and
Jackson Purvis. St. Olaf got the game winner at 14:36 in the third as Bethel was unable to score another equalizer.
The two teams will faceoff again Saturday night at 7 p.m. in Bethel University Arena.
