Box Score Box ScoreLA CROSSE, Wis. – The Bethel University women's soccer team fell on the road Saturday afternoon by a 1-0 score to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The Royals outshot the Eagles 13-9 and 4-3 on shots on goal but were unable to find the equalizing goal. The loss drops Bethel to 0-2-3 and marks the second straight game the Royals have been unable to score and also the second game this season that ended in a 1-0 loss.
The lone goal in the game came for La Crosse at the 37:57 mark in the first period by Megan Gresi.
Savannah Swanson put two shots on goal for Bethel while
Jessica Huseby and
Sarah Wagman put the other Bethel shots on goal.
Micale Jensen made two saves for Bethel in goal.
Bethel returns home to open up MIAC play Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Ona Orth Athletic Complex.
