ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University's men's basketball won its sixth consecutive game of the 2013-14 season Monday night with a 70-68 win over Concordia College. The Royals (6-1, 3-0 MIAC) led throughout the majority of the game, but overcame a small deficit early in the second half and withheld a late Cobber (3-4, 0-3 MIAC) comeback at the Robertson Center Gym. For Bethel, it was its sixth straight victory, after dropping the opening contest to nonconference opponent, UW-Stout.

Monday's matchup began with an early 12-4 run for the Royals, who kept its distance from Concordia—going into the half with a 37-31 lead. Bethel increased its lead to 13 with 18:41 to go, but the Cobbers used a 23-4 run over the next six minutes to take a six point lead with 11:35 left in the game. A clutch 3-pointer from
Trevor Hall and a pair of buckets inside by
Kyle Zimmermann quickly negated Concordia's lead. Then later in the period back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers by
Jared Nelson,
Trevor Hall, and then Nelson again gave Bethel the lead for good.

The Royals forced 13 turnovers against the Cobbers and only turned the ball over six times. BU capitalized on the turnover battle—outscoring Concordia 17-12 in points off turnovers. The Royals also cashed in on 14-of-17 free throws to help secure the victory.

Trevor Hall tied for a game high with 15 points on 4-of-13 shooting and a 5-of-5 night from the foul line to go alongside his seven assists and two boards.
Kyle Zimmermann tallied 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds and a block.
Brycen Wojta, who has scored in double figures the first six games, ended the streak Monday night—scoring nine points—along with
Tyler Schmidt, who was 3-of-4 from long range.
