WINONA, Minn. – The Bethel University women's soccer team was able to pull out a 1-0 overtime victory on the road against Saint Mary's University Saturday afternoon. Jessica Huseby scored her seventh goal of the season in the extra period to give the Royals the joy of victory. It was Bethel's second 1-0 overtime victory of the season in MIAC play while they have also dropped three other games in the extra period.
 
Bethel outshot Saint Mary's 18-7 in the game and held a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. Bethel freshman goalie Micale Jensen made three saves to record the shutout, her third of the season.
 
Bethel improved to 2-6 in the MIAC and 5-9 overall while SMU fell to 0-8 and 0-12. Bethel will travel just a few miles down Snelling Avenue for a Tuesday matchup with the University of Northwestern. The match will kick off at 4 p.m.
