Arden Hills, Minn. – Coming off a conference opening sweep of the then #5 rated Gustavus Gusties the Bethel University men's hockey team is welcoming the Concordia College Cobbers to town. The Royals and Cobbers will face off in the Bethel University Arena at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. Friday night at 7 p.m. and Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
The Cobbers enter the series with a 2-3-1 record overall and a 1-1 mark after splitting their opening series with St. Olaf. Bethel is 3-3-0 on the year and 2-0 in MIAC action. Four of Bethel's six games have been against teams ranked in the top 15 of the USCHO.com poll as UW-Eau Claire is ranked 8th, UW-River Falls is 11th and Gustavus is now ranked 12th after being swept by the Royals. The Royals are 2-2 in those four games with both losses by a single goal. The Royals received three votes for the USCHO.com Top 15 poll, placing them in 22nd.
