Box Score
MINNEAPOLIS - All good things must come to an end, and so was the case for the previously unbeaten Royals on Tuesday night. Bethel fell to the hosting Augsburg Auggies by a score of 1-0, thus handing the Royals their first loss of the season.
The two teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half, with Augsburg firing seven shots to Bethel's two. After some readjusting at the intermission, the Royals showed new signs of life by shooting 12 shots in the second half to the Auggies five. Unfortunately, none of them managed to slip their way past Auggie goalie Katie Gajewski, who stopped all six shots on goal that came her way to preserve the shutout. Bri Clark of Augsburg scored the game's only goal less than 12 minutes into the second half.
