Royals Return Home After Going 1-4 In Orlando.

ORLANDO, Fla.
- The Bethel Women's Tennis team returned from Orlando, Florida last weekend after going 1-4 against various competition.

The Royals fell in the first game by a very slim margin of 5-4 to College of Coastal Georgia, however the Royals would suffer a rough 9-0 loss the next day to UW-La Crosse. In their match against Coastal Georgia, Abby Edin claimed a victory for the Royals in the #1 singles match, while Amanda Johnson won in #6 singles play. Bethel then proceeded to win two of three doubles matches with Edin and Mary Beck winning in the #2 slot and Johnson and Leigh Kreklau winning in the #3 slot.

On the third day in Orlando, the Royals collected their lone victory against Simpson College. Edin, Lisa Scheevel, and Kayla Wheeler all won their matches in singles competition, with Scheevel and Steph Brown combing for the #1 doubles win. Edin and Wheeler would take the #2 doubles match, to help aid the Royals to their 5-4 victory.

While the Royals would fall in their last two matches down in Orlando by scores of 5-4 and 6-3, they kept the games close and received experience heading into MIAC play.

Upon the end of their stay in Florida, the Royals return home with a 2-6 overall record.
