ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Bethel Women's Tennis squad defeated the University of Minnesota-Duluth earlier this February to collect their first victory on the young season.

Abby Edin defeated Carrie Dahlman in the #1 singles pair, while Leigh Kreklau, Mary Beck, and Kayla Wheeler all recorded victories for the Royals as well. The Royals also won all their double matches on the day to defeated the Bulldogs 7-2.

On February 24, the Royals traveled to Lakeville, Minnesota to take on the Carleton College Knights. Despite victories in the #4 and #6 singles matches, the Royals couldn't handle a very tough Carleton team that is #27 in the national rankings.

The Royals are off to a 1-2 start with a 0-1 MIAC record. Bethel will be back in action March 14 down in Orlando, Florida over spring break.
