ST. PAUL, Minn. -
In the final match of the year, the Bethel women's tennis team squared off against the Hamline University Pipers, as both teams were looking for their first conference win of the season. Unfortunately, the Royals were unable to pull off the win, falling for the third time this season by a 5-4 decision in conference play.

A slow start in doubles play eventually proved to be the deciding factor in today's match. The Pipers double's pairings proved to be too much as the Royals were unable to steal a game in double's play, falling 3-0.

Singles play proved to be an entirely different story as four of the six Royals won their respective matches. Steph Brown (Fr., Lake City, Minn.) won an exciting match 6-2, 1-6, 10-8, while Ashley Dohlen (Sr., Morris, Minn.), Krista Nauman (So., Buffalo, Minn.), and Ashley Watts (Sr., Winona, Minn.) each won their respective matches.

The Royals finish the year at 3-15 overall and 0-10 in MIAC play, while Hamline finishes the year at 5-13 overall and 1-9 in conference play.
