MOORHEAD
, Minn. - Facing a Concordia team ranked nationally, the Bethel Royals kept the Cobbers offense in check for the most of the game, but were unable to come up with a goal, falling 1-0.

Bethel took the first four shots of the game, but Concordia scored the only goal in the 20th minute, when Sam Johnson netted her sixth goal of the season on a shot from six yards out, with the assists going to Killashandra Link and Sarah Rounds. It was only shot on goal that Concordia would get in the first half, while the Royals would put three on goal. The second half was a stalemate, with both sides getting chances to score, but neither team being able to find the back of the net.

For the game, Bethel had 10 shots, five on goal, to Concordia's 17 shots, eight on goal. There were seven fouls and four corner kicks between the two teams.

Brittany Griffore (So., Maple Grove, Minn.) led the Royals with four shots, two on goal, and goalie Alyssa Riggs (Jr., Columbia Heights, Minn.) played well, coming up with seven saves. Johnson had a team-leading five shots for the Cobbers, two on goal, and goalie Ali Nelson was given the shut out.
