MOORHEAD, Minn.
- Three third period goals were too much for the Royals as they fell to the Concordia Cobbers, 4-1.

Concordia came out firing and got on the scoreboard first, scoring a power play goal at 8:07 of the first period. Brian King netted the goal, assisted by Marc Harrie and Jared Collen. The Royals were out shot 10 to four in the opening period.

Coming out of the first intermission, Bethel made adjustments and played a much better period. They out shot the Cobbers, 12 to 10, but were unable to capitalize on two power plays and the score remained 1-0 at the end of the second period.

The third period would be a flurry of action, with four goals scored, three within a span of five minutes. Concordia went up 2-0, thanks to another power play goal off the stick of Ben Payne. The Royals cut the lead to 2-1 at the 13 minute mark, when Christian Fogerty (Jr., Forest Lake, Minn.) scored an unassisted goal, his third of the season. The Cobbers answered just two minutes later, going up 3-1. Concordia would put the finishing touches on with an empty net goal, winning 4-1.

For the game, the Cobbers put 32 shots on goal to Bethel's 26. The special teams play ended up deciding the game, as Concordia was 2-4 with a man advantage, while the Royals were 0-4.

After the loss, Bethel falls to 3-7 (3-2) on the season and Concordia improves to 3-7-2 (2-1-2). The two teams meet again tomorrow in Moorhead, starting at 2 p.m.
