BOX SCORE

NORTHFIELD, Minn.
- Attempting to salvage a point in the standings on the road, the Bethel Royals took Carleton College to overtime, but were unable to hold the Knights off, falling 1-0.

In a game that saw the Royals only garner three shots, Bethel found a way to stave off the Carleton offensive pressure. The Knights took 19 shots, eight of them on goal, but the majority of the attempts were deflected or contested by Royal defenders. With the score 0-0 through all of regulation both sides got a chance to score in overtime before Carleton's Rachel Foran was able to score her first goal of the season and the game winner in the 98th minute. The goal was unassisted, scored on a jumbled corner kick that finally found the back of the net after a Foran header.

Lydia Bergeson (Fr., Mauston, Wis.) led the Royals with two shots on goal and goalie Kiersten Hansen (Sr., Eden Prairie, Minn.) came up with seven saves. Cassie Burke put three shots on goal to lead the Knights and Kate Trenerry made two saves to get the shut out.

Bethel now drops to 8-4-1 (1-4-1) and Carleton improves to 6-5-1 (4-2) on the season. The team has the weekend off and do not play again till Tuesday, traveling to Augsburg, taking on the Auggies, starting at 7:30 p.m.
