Mike Fregeau coached football at Bethel for 18 seasons and track for seven seasons before retiring from coaching and transitioning to a full-time administrative role as the Coordinator of Bethel's Sports and Recreation Center. In 2018, Fregeau was named Assistant AD for Event Management and Facilities. 

BETHEL DEFENSE UNDER COACH FREGEAU
• The Bethel defense ranked in the Top 3 in the MIAC in each major statistical category in 2012 & 2013 and Top 4 in the MIAC in 2014 & 2015
• Has coached 15 1st Team MIAC All-Conference selections and nine MIAC All-Conference 2nd Team picks in his career
• Produced six All-Conference selections as the defensive line coach from 1999-2004
• Defensive End Jon Foss led the NCAA in sacks (16) in 2002
• Coached 16 All-Conference outside linebackers since 2005
• Kirby Carr 2006 MIAC MVP as outside linebacker
• BSN Division III Defense of the Week in September 2012 after season opening 21-0 shutout at Wartburg College

PLAYING CAREER
• Four-year starting running back for the Royals from 1981-84
• Ran sprints and jumps all four years for Bethel College track and field
