Amanda Maxwell became the first full-time head coach at Bethel devoted to women's soccer in March of 2012. The position had previously been joined with the men's team or was part-time. Maxwell led the program to new heights, earning their first ever MIAC playoff berth in 2014 and a pair of regular season second place finishes in 2016 and 2018. 

AT BETHEL

• Record of 60-57-11 (.512) in seven seasons at Bethel
• 2016 MIAC Coach of the Year
• Qualified for the MIAC Playoffs as the No. 2 seed in 2016 and 2018 which came with a first-round bye and the programs first home playoff games
• Recorded program record for wins in a season (13) in both 2016 and 2018
• Recorded most MIAC wins in a season (8) in 2016 and 2018
 Recorded a program-best 11 consecutive games without a loss in 2016
• Recorded a program record .750 winning percentage in 2018

• Nine team records recorded during her coaching tenure, including fewest losses in a regular season (3) in 2018 
• Qualified for the MIAC Playoffs for the first time in program history in 2014 after winning their final six games of the regular season



PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
• Six players combined for nine MIAC All-Conference team selections and 12 Honorable Mention selections
• Britney Monteon became the programs first All-American in 2018 with a Second Team selection by the United Soccer Coaches
• Maggie Sipe tied Bethel's career scoring mark with 80 points in just three seasons at Bethel (2016-18)
• Three Royals were named All-North Region by the United Soccer Coaches in 2018 in seniors Britney Monteon (First Team) and Maggie Sipe (Third Team) and freshman Rachel Waterman (Second Team)
• Rachel Waterman earned programs first MIAC Rookie of the Year award in 2018

• In 2012 Jessica Huseby led the MIAC in assists (12) and shattered the previous Bethel records for assists in a single season and in MIAC play (7).
• In 2018 Britney Monteon, in her only season with the Royals, set new program records in points (39) and assists (13). During MIAC play she rewrote the program record book for points (25), goals (8) and assists (9). 

BEFORE BETHEL
• Produced two All-State players at Stillwater High School
• Named Assistant Coach of the Year at Mahtomedi High School
• Helped Mahtomedi to a State Championship in 2005 and runner-up finish in 2007
• Coached within the St. Croix Soccer Club for twelve years
• Coached with the U.S. Olympic Development program from 2004-2006

MISSIONS
• Led Royals on a spring break trip to Peru in 2018
• Brought 20 Bethel women's soccer players to Rio de Janiero, Brazil for a ten day soccer ministry with Team Chicago Brazil in the summer of 2013

• Spent three years (2006, 2008-2010) at the Haven of Peace Academy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with Africa Inland Mission International - six Bethel women's soccer players have traveled to Tanzania since 2012

• Mid-American Conference Newcomer of the Year as a freshman at Marshall University
• Two-time First Team All Mid-American Conference selection 
• Named to soccerbuzz.com Freshman All-American Team
• Team captain at the University of Minnesota
• Named team "Offensive Player of the Year" at Minnesota
• Big Ten Scholar Athlete
• Named Minnesota Ms. Soccer following senior season at Stillwater High School
• National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American
• Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year
• Led Stillwater High School to state championship in 1998

PERSONAL LIFE
• Married to husband Brandon and currently resides in Stillwater, Minn. with son Owen and daughter Amani
