Jay Quick set a new school record in the high jump by clearing 6 feet, 10.75 inches. The previous record was 6 feet, 10.5 inches, and stood for 20 years before last Saturday. His leap gives him an automatic qualifying jump for the NCAA national meet, making him one of only two high jumpers in the nation to achieve the feat this season.
