About Nicole:
Coming into her last season running in the Blue and Gold uniform the outstanding senior captain who has shifted more towards the 400m Hurdles outdoor has goals to qualify for the MIAC championships in that event and hopes to pass the NCLEX in the spring. Nicole is one of Bethel's top middle distance athletes and the Junior captain hopes to continue her success this season. After only two years Nicole has been on countless relay teams that are now Top Ten at Bethel, with school records in the Indoor 4x4, the Sprint Medley, and the Outdoor 4x8. Last season, Nicole qualified in the 600 at the Indoor Conference meet where she placed 7th in the MIAC. Later that same weekend Nicole ran the 800 leg on the 3rd place DMR team. To close out the meet, Nicole helped the 4x4 relay team to a 4th place conference finish. Outdoor at the Drake Relays, Nicole helped break school records in the Sprint Medley and 4x8, the latter of which would later place 3rd in the MIAC at the conference meet. The 4x4 team also placed at conference in 7th, but perhaps Nicole's greatest race came a week before in the 800. She ran a personal best time of 2:19.50 and is now 6th All-Time at Bethel in that event. As a freshman in 2014, Nicole helped break the school record in the 4x4 and went on to claim 2nd in the MIAC at the conference meet. She also placed 6th in the 600. Nicole was on several more Top Ten 4x4 relay teams during the Outdoor season, caping off her impressive freshman season with a 5th place conference finish in the 4x4. Nicole is from Shoreview where her parents, Nate and Jan, still live.
