About Amanda:
Even though Amanda has the school record in the hammer throw she still hopes to improve that throw by 2 meters in 2017 and be the MIAC Champion. Off the track Amanda hopes to pass her board exam as well. This will be a busy year for Amanda.

Looking ahead to the 2016 season, Amanda is an extremely talented athlete who will have no problem leading Bethel's throwers. She is already on pace to surpass Bethel great Alyssa Solberg who graduated just last spring. Amanda transfered to Bethel last year as a sophomore and competed in her first season of college track. She threw over 48' in the Indoor Weight Throw, which now ranks 2nd All-Time at Bethel. She qualified in the shot put and weight throw for the Conference meet a few weeks later and placed 6th in the latter. Outdoor Amanda threw nearly 120' in the discus, edging out Kjersten Karlsgodt for 9th All-Time at Bethel. She placed 5th at the Conference meet in the Hammer, breaking the school record with throw of 153'3".
