Mitch Baker

Baker is a 2008 graduate of Bethel University and has been involved with the women's hockey program since 2007. His main duties consist of coaching the Royal's defensemen, goaltenders, coordinating video development and recruiting. He is also active in practice, planning, and recruiting. Since 2007 Mitch has been the position coach for two NCAA DIII All-Americans (Beth Spurrier - 2009 and Anna Carlson - 2012). He has also helped Bethel goaltenders earn four MIAC All-Conference awards.

Baker was a goaltender for the Royals men's hockey program and graduated from Bethel in 2008 with a degree in physics.

In addition to his duties with the Royals, coach Baker coaches goaltenders professionally through his business, Premeir Goaltender Development (PGD). PGD has helped numerous men's and women's goaltenders advance to play college hockey at both the division 1 and division 3 levels. Mitch has also had the opportunity to coach goaltenders throughout North America and Sweden with Hockey Ministries International.

Baker is married to fellow women's hockey assistant Rebecca Baker and the couple reside in Shoreview.
