Courtney is a 2011 high school graduate from Chanhassen, Minnesota. In school she played softball and was awarded four letters for her years in the sport. Courtney was positioned as pitcher and achieved All-State, All-Section and All-Conference. Daughter of Dan and Christine Saurer, Courtney is currently majoring in Psychology with the aspiration of being a psychologist in the future.
