Bethel University Athletics

The 2025-26 season will mark Joseph Punnoose's first as Bethel University assistant tennis coach.

Punnoose joins the Royals tennis coaching staff after a standout playing career at Gustavus Adolphus College, where he earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for his excellence on the court and in the classroom.

Since 2022, Joseph has been coaching at Bloomington Life Time and also works with the Jefferson High School boy's varsity program. "I am excited to join successful programs and work alongside Coach Drew and bring an energy and passion for player development to every practice."

"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Joe to our program," said Royals head tennis coach Drew Fernelius. "Joe was a fierce and successful competitor during his years at Gustavus and brings a passion and knowledge for the game that I have no doubt will help every player he works with improve their tennis games."
