Nick Cocalis was
named the fifth head coach in Bethel men's golf program history on July 23, 2019. Along with his head coaching duties, Cocalis worked with the Bethel University Office of Development and was the Assistant AD for Engagement from 2022-24 prior to moving into the Campus Pastor role in the 2024-25 academic year in addition to his coaching duties.
AT BETHEL
• Led the Royals to the program's second MIAC Championship title in 2023
• Finished 16th at the 2024 NCAA Championships
• 2023-24 MIAC Coach of the Year
• 2023-24 GCAA Region Coach of the Year
• Guided the Royals to a second place finish at the 2022 and 2024 MIAC Championship
• Single-season record six event wins in 2023-24
• Single-season scoring average record in 2023-24 with a 293.1 mark
• Five top-three team finishes during the 2022-23 and 2024-25 seasons
• 18-hole program-low 275 at Bethel Spring Triangular on May 4, 2024
• 54-hole program-low 858 at 2023 MIAC Championship, second lowest score in MIAC Championship history
• Helped Royals to a first-place finish at the Bethel Preview on April 11, 2021. Shooting a 611 in the 36-hole event, it was BU's first tournament win since 2015

• 71.5 scoring average as a professional golfer
• Wisconsin State Mid Amateur Champion in 2016
• Two-time Cherokee Club Open Champion
• Participated in the prestigious 2017 Gasparilla Invitational
• Worked for CaddieMaster working as a caddie for PGA, LPGA and mini-tour players as well as for top 100 golf courses

• Co-Founded Next Step Ministries in 2007 where he served as executive director for 11 years
