Matt is a 2011 high school graduate from Forest Lake High School in Forest Lake, Minnesota. In school he played both baseball and hockey and was awarded one letter for each sport. Matt is the son of Tony and Jenny Schmidt and is currently majoring in ACC at Bethel.
