Matt graduated high school in 2010 and is from Rochester, Minnesota. In school, he was in athlete in soccer and baseball and lettered in both. He was chosen to be captain his senior year in soccer as well as baseball, and achieved Big-9 All-Conference Honorable Mention for baseball. When not playing for the high school, Matt was in intramural basketball and was considered a Big-9 Scholar-Athlete. He is the son of Mike and Shelli Pearson and is currently a major in Finance and Economics and studying Leadership for his minor.
