Ryan joined the Royals as an Assistant Pitching Coach at the start of the 2023 season, helping guide Bethel to a MIAC Playoff title where the pitching staff gave up one run in three games. Meyers has assisted in developing 20 MIAC All-Conference selections, and five players who went on to play Division I and/or professional baseball.
Before Bethel, Meyers was the pitching coach at Augsburg from 2020-2022. The Auggie pitching staff ranked third nationally in ERA (1.92) during a shortened 2020 season. The 2022 Auggie staff also recorded the second most strikeouts in school history (227) and allowed zero runs in a NSIC doubleheader for the first time in 30 seasons.
Meyers was also an assistant coach at Gustavus from 2017-2019 in various roles (recruiting coordinator, pitchers, hitters, outfield, catchers). The 2019 team won their first conference championship in 40 seasons, and posted the lowest team ERA (3.61) in 26 seasons. He recruited the two winningest classes in program history, and also recruited two MIAC Conference Players of the Year and All-American selections.
Meyers was a RHP for Division I Miami University in Ohio from 2008-2011, finishing third in the Mid-American Conference as a senior in opponents batting average (.175), H/9 (5.5) and WHIP (0.94).Â
