Austin graduated high school in 2009 from Mounds View, Minnesota. In school he was in baseball, football and basketball, and was awarded letters for his four years in baseball and three years in football. Austin was captain for both football and baseball and was twice All-Conference Honorable Mention for baseball as well as All-Conference, All-Section, and All-State his senior year. He was Team MVP, Lions All-Star, achieved All-Conference in football as well as Offensive MVP. Son of Timothy and Jillayne Hanson, Austin is currently majoring in Business and Marketing and minoring in Leadership and Coaching.
