Photographer/Videographer/Graphic Designer

Bethel University athletics is seeking student assistants to work as part of the design and content creation team for the upcoming school year. These positions are eligible for internship status to receive class credit.

 ATHLETICS PHOTOGRAPHER AND/OR VIDEOGRAPHER

Athletic photography student assistants will assist in the photography and/or videography coverage of games, photo shoots, and other athletic-related events.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in photography/videography and coverage of games, photoshoots, workouts, and other events
  • Edit and tag top images/videos during games for immediate social and website use
  • Uploading and organizing photo assets/galleries
  • Assist in maintaining the team’s online photo archive system
  • Meet deadlines as assigned by supervisor(s)
  • Assist creative team in photography/videography needs
  • Office and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Must be a current Bethel University undergraduate student
  • Responsible for attending home games for assigned sports (includes days, nights, weekends, school breaks including J-Term)
  • Previous photography and/or videography and editing experience
  • Roughly 7-10 hours worked per week
  • Interest in athletics
  • No experience required, all class years are encouraged to apply

 ATHLETICS GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Showcase the Bethel Athletics brand by utilizing a strong visual identity as a graphic designer for Royal Athletics.

Responsibilities:
  • Design graphics for both digital and print utilizing Bethel Athletics brand and design guidelines
  • Update templates already created for numerous purposes across the department
  • Create new designs for specific purposes as assigned by Athletics staff
  • Efficiently deliver graphics to stakeholders, meeting deadlines and quick turnarounds
  • Create athletic-specific content that shows passion, determination, and competitiveness, among other key themes as directed by Athletics staff
Requirements:
  • Must be a current Bethel University undergraduate student
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as needed
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely – both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • Organizational and time-management skills
