Bethel Athletics is looking for eager and energetic students to join the Roy the Lion Mascot Team. Roy is a symbol of Bethel University and the core of school spirit and community! Being Roy gives the opportunity to be a part of a vast variety of on campus activities working to generate spirit. This is a paid position.

Mascots must be outgoing, social individuals. They appear at games and participate in local events to encourage game attendance. They work to engage fans and create loyal followers.

Responsibilities:
- Mascot performers are required to participate in select appearances at Bethel Athletics sporting events (Football, basketball, soccer etc.), campus, community, and charity events.
- Mascots may be assigned to select sports and must attend 50% of home games. Roy will make appearances at all home football games on 9/9, 10/30, 10/21, 11/4, 11/11.
Qualifications:
- Must be in a physical condition that supports both wearing heavy costumes and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
- Must work well with others, including children and fans of all ages.
- Mascots must be able to read individuals social cues to understand the level of interaction each fan may want.
- Ideal applicants for the position of mascot should be motivated in generating school or team spirit.
