In 2007-08, Davis was one of the first players off the bench for Coach Herbrechtsmeyer, averaging more than 14 minutes per game at forward and center.  Davis, a transfer from Minneapolis Community and Technical College, averaged five points per game, and made 45.7 percent of her shots from the floor.  David adds depth at forward, helping the Royals grab rebounds on defense and create second-chance opportunities and points in the paint-on offense.  Davis is a communication arts/literature education major focusing on grades 5-12.

Coach Herbrechtsmeyer says, "When Lakita is in the game, she is instant offense.  She can score on the inside and out.  Not only that, but she's got a good physical presence.  As she continues to develop, her role on the team will become greater."
