RESULTS
ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Bethel University men's track & field team hosted the Gene Glader Invitational at Royal Stadium on Saturday. The meet was called off due with three events left (200 meter dash, 5000 meter run, and 4x400 meter relay) due to weather.
Second place was the case for Grant Nelson, who crossed the finish line at 47.13 in the 400 meter dash. Elliott Kent followed with a fifth-place time of 48.42.
Timmy Ball also achieved second place in the discus, where he registered a toss of 48.64m. That mark puts Ball among the top 25 in NCAA Division III. Philip Conant was next with a 44.09m, good enough for sixth place. Ball also competed in the shot put, where he achieved a 10th-place toss of 14.11m.
Brayden Waldron represented the Royals in the long jump, where he notched fourth place with a 6.75m. The fourth-place trend continued courtesy of Pryce Ferrin's 14.97 in the 100 meter hurdles. This occurred after he topped out at 14.87 in the prelims, which put him in fifth place. Logan Swanson also competed in the 110 meter hurdles with times of 15.02 in the prelims (seventh place) and 15.29 (fifth place) in the finals.
Fifth place marks were accomplished from Adam Hokanson (15.34m) in the shot put, and TJ Strubbe (4:07.84) in the 1500 meter run. Gavin Hansen followed with a seventh-place time of 4:12.25 in the 1500 meter run.
Seventh place was in the cards for Nick Bovitz in the triple jump (13.37m), and Cameron McConnell in the 100 meter dash (11.05).
The Royals compete at the Saint Benedict/Saint John's Invitational on Saturday, April 18.
