Royals Dominate 2025-26 MIAC Indoor Track & Field Awards

MIAC RELEASE

ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Bethel University Royals dominated the 2025-26 MIAC Indoor Track & Field Awards.

MEN
Track Athlete of the Year: Grant Nelson (Bethel)
Field Athlete of the Year: Cooper Folkestad (Concordia)
Rookie of the Year: Logan Swanson (Bethel)
Coach of the Year: Andrew Rock (Bethel)

This marked Nelson's second-straight MIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year honor, and the fourth-straight for Bethel. The Royals have now won the award eight times.

Swanson's nod now gives Bethel three-of-four MIAC Men's Indoor Rookie of the Year Awards, which began in 2022-23.

Andre Rock now has four-straight MIAC Men's Indoor Coach of the Year awards, and five for his BU career. The Royals have six MIAC Men's Indoor Coach of the Year awards.

Field Athlete of the Year: Ellie Hernes (Bethel)
Rookie of the Year: Lauren Pearson (Concordia)
Coach of the Year: Marv Roeske (Concordia)

Hernes' MIAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year award marks BU's third-straight and overall honor.
