ROGERS, MINN.—For the first time since 2019-19, the Bethel University men's tennis team is off to a 3-0 start to a season following a 6-1 victory over Wartburg at the Rogers Tennis Center on Friday. The Knights fall to 4-2.

Bethel claimed the doubles points after going 2-1 in the flight thanks to a 6-1 victory from Dylan Magistad/Carter Sheard at No. 1, and a 6-4 win from Micah Gustafson/Zach Bengtson at No. 3.
Carter Sheard continued his dominance at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 decision, while Magistad was victorious 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2. At No. 4 was Watson Sheard, who took care of business 7-5, 7-5. Rounding out the Royal victories was Kade Bishop 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5, and Micah Gustafson 7-6, 6-1 at No. 6
The Royals' lone loss was a heartbreaking 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4) battle from Zack Chaffey at No. 3 singles.
Bethel will travel to Gustavus Adolphus on Friday, February 13. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.
