ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Bethel University women's basketball team cruised to an 87-57 victory over St. Scholastica in the 2025-26 MIAC Women's Basketball Quarterfinal at the Robertson Center on Tuesday night.
The Royals, who improve to 20-6, will advance to the 2025-26 MIAC Women's Basketball Semifinal against No. 2 seed Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, Minnesota on Thursday, February 26 at 5 p.m. It will mark Bethel's ninth all-time appearance in the MIAC Semifinal.
The Saints conclude their season with a 16-10 overall record.
Bethel 87, St. Scholastica 57
Bethel led from start-to-finish in a game that saw them achieve a season-high 49 rebounds and 21 assists, while they surrendered a season-low 25 rebounds.
Emily Erickson became the 20th member of the Bethel women's basketball 1,000 point club off her layup with 9:06 remaining in the fourth quarter. She finished the contest with a game-high 25 points and nine rebounds. Next was Cally Peterson, who had 14 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Elly Schmitz came off the bench with 13 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Colette Duininck had a team-leading eight assists to go with nine points and four boards.
The Royals finished the contest .492 (23-of-65) from the field and .947 (18-of-19) from the free throw line, while their defense surrendered a .327 (18-of-55) field goal percentage. Ava Haus paced St. Scholastica with 21 points.
