ST. JOSEPH, MINN.—The Bethel University women's basketball team rebounded with a 67-47 road victory over Saint Benedict on Wednesday night.
The Royals improve to 12-4, 7-2 MIAC, while the Bennies fall to 11-5, 6-3 MIAC.

All five of the game's lead changes occurred in the opening quarter. Rosalie Penke's three-pointer with 3:02 remaining in first frame put Bethel in the driver's seat for good at 11-9, and kick started a 13-2 run that gave them their first double-digit cushion in a 67-47 drubbing of the Bennies.
Emily Erickson paced Bethel with a double double 21 points and 10 rebounds; as well as three blocks, two assists, and one steal. Cally Peterson followed with 12 points, seven boards and two assists. Macey Littlefield came off the bench with 11 points, while Alli Born chipped in 10 points, two assists, and five boards. Colette Duininck finished with four assists, seven boards, and two steals for Bethel.
The Royals defense surrendered a .236 (13-of-55) field goal percentage, an opponent season low. That consisted of a dismal .133 (2-of-15) three-point percentage for the Bennies. Bethel's offense finished .474 (27-of-57) shooting.
Kira Young paced Saint Benedict with 17 points.
The Royals will host Concordia (Minn.) at Robertson Center Gymnasium on Saturday, January 24 at 1 p.m.
