BLAINE, Minn. – After coming away with a 4-2 win in last night's matchup, the Bethel women's hockey dropped their final game of the 2024-2025 season, 3-0, St. Olaf. The Royals finish the year 11-14-1 overall and 6-12-0 in MIAC play.
How it Happened:
• The first period saw tense play between the teams but no goals for either. The Royals earned a narrow advantage in shots, outshooting the Oles, 9-6.
• St. Olaf took control of the game in the second period, finding their way onto the scoreboard in the twelfth minute and carrying a one-goal lead into the third period.
• The Oles added a second goal just 2:16 into the third. The Royals' offense tried to answer back, but even though they outshot the Oles 11-7, they couldn't convert any of their opportunities into goals. An empty-netter goal for St. Olaf at the 19:09 mark was the final nail in the coffin for the Royals, and the clock ran out on a 3-0 victory for the Oles.
