It was another busy day of action for the Bethel University Royals on their annual spring break trip. The No. 11th-ranked softball team had a pair of early morning games splitting those contests highlighted by
Kayla Simacek's perfect game against Skidmore. Women's tennis remained undefeated at 8-0 with a win over Springfield while the men's tennis squad also picked up a win over the Pride. Bethel baseball faced its second nationally ranked opponent of the trip falling to No. 9 Wisconsin-La Crosse.

• After NCC plated two in the third, BU responded with four in the fourth thanks to a bases clearing triple by Sydney Bartels.
• The Cardinals posted four runs in the bottom half of the fourth on pitchers
Mary Hajduk and
Abby Otterness.
• Bethel's comeback efforts in the seventh came up just short with an RBI single from
Autumn Earney and
Abby Otterness.

Kayla Simacek tossed her fourth career perfect game and first one that went a full seven innings. She struck out 11 in the process and threw 73 pitches.

Abby Otterness got the scoring rolling early in the first with a two-RBI single to center.
• Bethel plated two more in the second, one in the fifth on a RBI single from
Hayden Glander and a sacrifice fly from
Ellie Baker in the sixth.

The Royals are back on the diamond on Wednesday, March 13 against Wilmington (11:30 am CT) and Kean (1:45 pm CT).

• The Royals trailed 2-1 after doubles play with
Lauryn Douglas and
Michaella Sullivan picking up the lone doubles point at No. 1, 8-0.
• BU went on to win five singles matches only dropping No. 2 singles.

Julia Baber stayed perfect on the year winning at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-2.
•
Emma Thole moved her win streak to five winning No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-1.

• Bethel was up 2-1 after doubles plays getting wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot.

Dylan Magistad picked up a win at No. 3 singles battling into the super tiebreaker 6-2, 3-6, 11-9.

Watson Sheard at No. 5 and
Robert Seaton at No. 6 also picked up wins in the super tie breaker set.

Xavier Lortie put the Royals up 2-0 in the top of the first blasting a two-run shot over the fence.
• UWL got one back though in the bottom half of the frame with a two-out RBI single.
• The Eagles plated a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth taking a one run lead. They then put up a four spot in the eighth.
• BU managed just two hits in its final seven plate appearances.
