  BASEBALL | Bethel 15, Benedictine 6 • Box Score
Bethel baseball extended their winning streak to 6 games with a decisive 15-6 victory over Benedictine University Thursday morning.

Pitcher Jordan Axberg picked up his first win on the season with three runs given up through two innings and one walk with five strikeouts.

Both Justin Winderfeldt and Noah Wenberg picked up RBI's in the first inning with a double and a single before Matthew Carlsen and Ty Koehn both picked up RBI's as well, with a double and single in the second to put the Royals up 4-3.

Keenan Hodgkin hit a solo homer to left in the fourth for the Royals and the Royals continued to score in the fifth when Tommy Friesen hit a two run single before Ty Koehn singled again to put the Royals up 8-4.

The Royals put Benedictine away with an explosive seven-run seventh inning with an RBI single from Justin Winderfeldt, a Noah Wenberg sacrifice fly, a Jordan Krupke RBI single, a Nick Kulseth walk, and a Matthew Carlsen three-run home run.

  SOFTBALL | Bethel 2, Meredith 0 • Box Score   //  Bethel 6, New England 1 • Box Score
A pitcher's duel in the opener saw a combined five hits and both runs coming in the opening frame.

Like clock work, Allie Fauth-Kilgore walked to lead off the game before stealing second. She would score on Lexi DeBac'e infield single. Kayla Hokanson drove in DeBace two batters later on a double to left. From there it was the Kayla Simacek show who had a perfect game going into the seventh. A one-out infield single broke that up. She finished with 11 Ks.

In the night cap, Simacek stayed on allowing only two hits, one of which was a solo homer in the fourth. In the process she struck out 14 for her ninth win of the year.

Kayla Hokanson had herself a game going 2-for-2 with two walks. She drove in her lone run of the game in the third which made it 3-0 before her sister Cortney Hokanson an inning later tallied her first homer of the year clearing the right field fence.

BU's runs in the seven came via a New England error and a wild pitch.
