It was an enjoyable Tuesday for the Royals springs sports programs who went a combined 5-0. It was an early rise and shine for the softball squad that began the day with a 7-2 victory over Arcadia before

Matthew Carlsen would later hit a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth to put the Royals up 6-2.
Aidan Nelson picked up his first save of the season with a strikeout and zero runs in the final inning and a third of this game.
It didn't take long for the Royals to get the bats going putting up crooked numbers in the second and third.
Mikaela Girard homered, her first of the year, in the fifth before another run scored via an error.
In the circle, Simacek tossed a one-hitter through her six innings of work while striking out 14.
A pitcher's duel in the "night" cap, Simacek once again gave up one lone hit in the complete gave effort where she struck out 13. Southern Maine brokeup the no-hitter in the sixth on a pinch hit infield single.
BU struck first as
Lexi DeBace singled through the right side, stole second and then scored two batters later. A ground ball to short off the bat of
Kayla Hokanson was misplayed by the shortstop, but with DeBace off at the crack of the bat she was scoring regardless of the play. Girard brought in the game's second run in the fifth as her RBI single scored
Jordyn Rudolph.
