ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Bethel University women's hockey team dropped its season finale on the road at Hamline, 4-1 Saturday afternoon at TRIA Arena.
The Royals finish the year 8-16 overall and 5-13 in MIAC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Emily Wiltse had the lone Bethel goal scoring 1:39 into the game. Wiltse scored her fifth of the year taking the puck in the neutral zone before fire a top shelf goal from the left circle.
• Despite being outshot 13-2 in the opening period BU took a one goal lead into the first break.
• Hamline scored two in the second while outshooting BU 11-4.
• The Pipers finished out the scoring with two more in the third while keeping BU off the board.
• The Royals had two power play chances in the third but couldn't connect. On the penalty kill for the night they were 3-for-3.
