MENOMONIE, Wis. – Returning to the ice after a near month long break, the Bethel University men's hockey team saw its 2-1 lead erased by a three-goal second as Wisconsin-Stout defeated the Royals, 6-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Braden Bartoo lit up the lamp first with an assist from
Caydon Meyer almost half way through the opening period.
• The host Bluedevils evened it up under three minutes later, sending the teams into the intermission knotted at 1-1.
• 2:23 into the second
Justin Kelley put the Royals back in front with his seventh goal of the year.
• Stout evened it up with a power play goal and then took back the lead for good with a shorthanded goal. UWS rounded out the period with 1:42 left.
• Bethel got one back as
Spencer Kring scored a power play goal. UWS added two more in the third including a shorthanded empty netter.
