Bethel Women’s Hockey Splits Series Against Concordia

MOORHEAD, Minn. – Much like the series opener Friday night, the Bethel University women's hockey team and Concordia needed overtime to determine a winner. This time it was the Cobbers to get the extra period goal earning the additional point in the MIAC standings, 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Bethel started off strong getting the game's first goal from Kallie Abrahamson with under three minutes to go in the first period. It was her team-leading sixth of the season.
• The built a solid 2-0 lead as Megan Johnson tallied her second goal of the season while BU was on the game's lone power play 6:10 into the second.
• The Cobbers cut the Royals lead in half scoring just over halfway into the second and then tied it up 6:15 into the third.
• While BU had one lone shot in the 3-on-3 overtime, Concordia netted the game winner 1:26 in scoring on a rebound shot after a fantastic left bad save by BU netminder Anna Hanson.
