ST. PAUL, Minn. – Junior outfielder
Justin Winterfeldt blasted a pair of two-run homers on a frigid day as the Bethel University baseball team won its 10th straight following a 5-3 win at Macalester.
Â
Noah Wenberg kicked off the fourth with a single before Winterfeldt put the Royals on the board with a blast out to left.
Keenan Hodgkin followed that up a batter later touching them all as his shot to right cleared the tall standing fence.
Â
Starter
Marcus Krupke worked out of a jam in the first as Winterfeldt picked up the outfield assist throwing out a runner at the plate to end the inning. Â Macalester answered with three of its own in the home half of the fourth.
Â
Winterfeldt kept the highlight real going homering again out the left putting the Royals up 5-3 in the fifth.
Â
The Scots put a pair on in the home half of the frame ending Krupke's day. Out of the pen,
Blake Williams shut down the Scots retiring the final seven he faced picking up his first save of the year. Â Â
