ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Bethel University women's hockey team saw its season come to an end following an 8-0 defeat to second-seeded Hamline.
The Royals, who were the No. 7 seed in the MIAC Playoffs, finish the year with an 8-11-2 overall record.
Bethel was narrowly outshot 26-25, but it was the Pipers who capitalized on their opportunities.
A three goal first put the Pipers up early despite the Royals leading 10-9 in the shot column. Hamline added two more in the second before three more in the third.
BU killed off three of its four penalties while going 0-for-2 on their own power play chances.
Mallory Tidona finished the night with 18 saves.
