ROGERS, Minn. – Seniors
Maggie Riermann and
Mackenzie Novak each eclipsed the 100 career win mark as the Bethel University women's tennis team shutout Wisconsin-La Crosse, 9-0.
Things started out with Bethel taking all three doubles matches in close fashion where No. 2 and No. 3 doubles were decided by tiebreakers. Novak got her 100th career win with the help of teammate
Sydney Rott taking the tiebreaker 7-5.
Bethel's top three singles won in convincing fashion while
Ingrid Goldstrand battled it out in the second set.
Rylee Schurman bounced back after dropping the opening set securing the shutout victory.
Up next the Royals travel to the USTA National Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla. for their spring break trip where they will play four matches.
