BLAINE, Minn. - The Bethel University women's hockey team dropped their final game of 2021 at home to the College of Saint Benedict by a 6-1 score. The game was tied 1-1 after the first period but the Bennies scored five unanswered goals in the second and third periods to pull away.
Lexi DeBace scored the Royals lone goal on a Bethel power play with assists by
Sydney Eckert and
Faith Merz.
CSB outshot Bethel 43-19 in the game while the Bennies were 2-4 on the power play and Bethel was 1-6.
Anna Hanson made her second start in net for Bethel, making 37 saves.
Bethel closes the 2021 portion of the schedule with a 3-5 overall record with three games scored as no contests overall and losses in the MIAC standings due to the MIAC Covid-19 policy. The Royals will return to the ice on January 7th when they travel to TRIA Rink in St. Paul to take on Lawrence University followed by Lake Forest College on January 8.
