Game 1: Bethel 12, Northwestern 2 (5 innings)
Cassidy Abbott got the scoring rolling with a RBI single driving in Hokanson who led off the second inning with a double to the left-center gap. Two batters later M. Fauth found some green in left to score Abbott before Hanowski drove in a pair with a shot right back at the UNW pitcher. Hokanson capped off the six-run second with a two-out two RBI single to right.
The Bethel offense stayed hot as M. Fauth sent her first home run of the year over the center field wall. Axelberg followed the two-run long ball with a three-run bomb of her own. Axelberg's sixth long ball of the year gave BU an 11-1 lead after three innings of work.
The Royals tacked on one more in the fourth with Hanowski driving in Abbott.
Megan Thurow came in out of the pen to finish out the fifth. The Eagles produced a run off a leadoff walk before Thurow worked out of a bases loaded jam with a strikeout to end it.

BU wasted no time getting on the scoreboard. Gemuenden brought in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly to bring in
Allie Fauth who led off the game with a double down the left field line.
The second inning was once again the Royals friend as they exploded for five more runs. Showing its two out production, singles by A. Fauth and

Bethel gave up one in the third before zeros filled the scoreboard in the fourth. With a 6-1 lead, Abbott's bat stayed hot with a RBI double before Hanowski drove in her second run of the game pushing the Royal lead to seven.
