ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The Bethel University women's hockey team won their MIAC opener by a 2-1 score on the road at the College of Saint Benedict. Bethel scored once in the first period and once in the second period and held on after CSB scored in the third to take the victory in their first MIAC game of the season.
Kennedi Mitchell assisted
Bailey Thompson on Bethel's first goal and then scored the second goal herself, unassisted.
Mallory Tidona made 31 saves in net for Bethel to record her second victory of the season.
The Royals (2-2, 1-0) will welcome Saint Ben's (1-1, 0-1) to Bethel University Arena Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. as the Royals go for the series sweep.
