ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University men's tennis team celebrated senior day Monday afternoon with a memorable win over the University of St. Thomas. After a back and forth battle, the Royals (6-8, 2-6 MIAC) topped the Tommies (6-9, 3-5 MIAC) by a final score of 6-3.

The match started with doubles play and BU got out to a hot start. No. 1 doubles team
Hunter Fernelius and
Jakob Bartels won 8-2 before Nick Knudson and
Zeke Delain took No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-6. Heading into singles with a 2-1 lead, BU battled to win four of the six matches.
Hunter Fernelius stayed perfect on the day by winning No. 1 singles 7-5, 7-6 (3). The No. 3 match went to Nick Knudson 6-1, 7-5, while
Zeke Delain fought long and hard to earn a 4-6, 6-3, (13-11) victory in the No. 4 match.
Peter Lindberg finished out the scoring for BU with his 7-6 (2), 6-2 win.

Men's tennis has their season finale Saturday, April 28 against Hamline University at 4 p.m. The Royals hope to win back to back matches as they travel to face the 8-7 Pipers.
