ST. JOSEPH, Minn.—Bethel University's softball team suffered a sweep Saturday afternoon against the College of Saint Benedict by final scores of 7-0 and 2-0. The Royals (12-12, 5-5 MIAC) had opportunities to score in both games, but the Blazers (21-5, 8-2 MIAC) kept BU scoreless throughout the series.

Allie Fauth finished the first game 2-for-3, while
Jamie Axelberg posted the only other hit in Saturday's opener.
Wendy Roberts proceeded to go 3-for-4 in game two, while
Mariah Uphoff,
Jana Roste, and
Jamie Axelberg each mustered a hit. Axelberg also recorded a walk, sacrifice bunt, and a stolen base.

Hannah Schmidt pitched 9.0 innings throughout the day, allowing eight hits and seven walks, while striking out five.
Morgan Meissner threw 3.0 innings in relief, giving up one run on two hits and one walk.

Bethel will play again Sunday, when they travel to St. Peter, Minn., to play Gustavus Adolphus College at 1 and 3 p.m.
