Royals Strong Doubles Play Not Enough to Take Down Scots

Bethel University men's tennis team played the second half of their back-to-back Thursday night as they faced off against Macalester College at the Baseline Tennis Center. The neutral site match saw the Royals (5-7, 1-4 MIAC) fall to the Scots (8-4, 5-0 MIAC) by a final score of 2-7.

The Royals were rolling through doubles play as they won two of the three matches: Jakob Bartels and Zeke Delain asserted themselves in an 8-3 win in the No. 2 match while Peter Lindberg and Noah Ridgway grinded out a highly contested 9-7 win in No. 3 doubles. Heading into singles play up two matches to one, BU lost the lead as they were unable to capitalize on any singles matches.

Bethel men's tennis has an opportunity to bounce back this upcoming weekend as they faceoff against the University of St. Thomas Saturday, April 14. The match is set to take place at the Baseline Tennis Center with start time scheduled for 7 p.m.
